Painting Workshop with New York painter, Robert Seyffert.
“Painting Water – A sellable and Captivating Subject” will be a 3 day workshop focusing on painting water in beach and harbor scenes, in oil and pastel although all mediums are welcome. September 18,19, and 20 from 10 am to 4 pm. Cost for 3 days: $350 for SBAA members and $375 for non-members. The workshop is limited to 12 participants, with a minimum of 8. The classes will begin with lectures in a classroom at the Santa Barbara Harbor, and continue “en plein air” at the Harbor or a designated beach area. Robert has taught drawing and painting at the Art Students League, New York and for 15 years directed the Alfred and Trafford Klots Residency Program in Rochefort-en-Terre, Morbihan, France. He now teaches at the College of Mount Saint Vincent in Riverdale, NY. He often comes to Santa Barbara to paint and visit family.
